In extreme cold, I use Howes. Day to day, I use Lucas Oil Fuel injector cleaner additive most of the time but periodically, I'll use the lucas Oil DPF deep clean. That will give you power and increase fuel mileage. There are other to check things to check if your truck doesn't start right....starter, corrosion of the battery, battery ends may need replacing, or fuses, depending on your truck.

The new DD13, DD15 and DD16 do come with a Davco-Type Fuel Filter standard (although I believe it's a factory part). It's lower profile but with a much larger diameter than a traditional Davco.Lab work Thanks this.

I generally use Stanadyne as far as fuel additives but I will use Howes if caught in colder weather and limited to truck stop additives.

i know this is IN the o/o section, and i am a company driver.
however, one company i worked for said it was ok, and THAT was a leased truck from Penske.
at another job i worked at, they too have penske trucks, and penske themselves forbid us to use additives.!
my best guess is that had we asked the first Penske lease, they would have said NO as well.
in any event, i used Howes fuel system anti-gel/cleaner, once per week.Lab work Thanks this. -
