ask yourself this, if elogs and the hos were intended to keep tired drivers off the road then how did they kno these drivers were tired?, they fell asleep and crashed and injured or killed someone?, well why didnt they just take their license and remove these so called "outlaws" from the highway when they crashed and injured or killed someone driving tired?, if these drivers were let back on the highways with your family then wouldnt the people who let them back on the road be to blame?, who are these people who let these tired drivers who apparently crashed and injured or killed someone stay on the highways with your family?, was it neccesary to punish all drivers by making them follow the hos rules when only a handfull are the problem?, welcome to the big scam, its ok to admit your a fool to believe all this rubbish, i have, been a fool, there you go, thats how i move forward, do you want to move forward or just keep believing the rubbish youv been fed? we dont give every driver a DWI assuming he will drive drunk, why would you punish all drivers assuming they will drive tired? in the end its about profit and control not safety, if you choose to believe otherwise good luck

So they should get rid of the alcohol limits for a DWI too?
Why punish all drivers who are over .08?
Billy can still drive good after 18 beers and a pint of vodka. Why should he be punished?
.
Let’s get rid of the .08 limit and leave it up to the officer to decide whether a driver is impaired or not.
.
And
Let’s get rid of drug testing too,
Billy can smoke a joint and do a line of coke and drive just fine and dandy.
It’s unfair to lump him in with a group of people that can’t handle their opioids.Bean Jr. and bryan21384 Thank this. -
You typed all of that as if you're the first person to say that.

I dont have a problem with elogs, so much as I have a problem with the 10 or 2/8 off duty. This much time allows me to get sleep normal for me about 5 to 6 hours, then hang out board till the time clock says I can roll.
There needs to be some allowance for different people. maybe several acceptable schemes for down time, I personally like 4 X 4 or 5 X 5, with a single of 8 hours.
Keeping track with the elog is fine, don't much care for the 30 in the first 8 either, Drivers need to stop get out a walk a bit, no doubt 7.5 hours or driving is too long before taking a brake unless your trying for blood clots.kemosabi49 Thanks this. -
Hours of service don't really bother me too bad. I mean.....11 hours in a 14 hour day is a pretty long day. I don't mind the 30 min break because I either shower or eat on that time. To make rules to have allowance for different people is unrealistic...like I've said before .....elogs ain't going anywhere and the 14 hr rule ain't going anywhere. People just have to learn how to make money within those parameters. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is

Why is it unrealistic, Driver now expect to be babysat, Drivers now need to grow some balls, stop electing Demo's that want to control your evry breath of life.classic_150 and Bean Jr. Thank this.

Has anyone seen any Walmart shelves empty where the toilet paper, or milk, or Oreo cookies should be? I didn't think so.
Tell your operations people how you need to operate in this environment. If they ignore you, ignore them. They weren't worth working for anyway. -
And if a shipper holds you up then grow a set and charge detention and deliver when you legally can, none of this “i’m Never late” BS while you suck down coffee and energy drinks.bryan21384 Thanks this.

The only shelves that matter in this part of the South is distilled water by the gallon. When it's completely sold out that means there is either a Boil Order out in force for the area due to a water main break or it's winter time cold and ice has broken water pipes under so many homes not built for any colder than say 20 degrees above zero. I have 10 Jerrycans full of standard water refreshed and refilled every 2 months. So when the water system goes out, we have enough on hand to take care of the toilet needs for a while which is the most important problem. And there is a silver pump capable of filtering anything out of about 13000 gallons worth. Made of pure silver. Cost me about 300 dollars at the time when silver spot was that high by weight of it's content. It will filter just about anything bad in the water source for cooking and drinking. I am not too far from the bayou which itself is a good source of water with that particular filter. Just need a colt with the 255 grain flat nosed jacketed rounds from Buffalo Bore in 1350 feet per second super against a 24 pound recoil spring on a all steel frame against wildlife that has the ability to hurt you real bad. Mountain Lions come to mind as the most dangerous in the area when you try to get some of that water.
