    I'm here!

Hired team driver. He's great. Getting along great. Drives all right, backs well, mature.

Been out close to two weeks now. First week was slow, getting adjusted and stuff, this past week was good.

Grossed $12,000 on 3800 loaded this week. No load on Tuesday because we went to Ohio. Had two loads cancel on us there. Not gonna get into details but we're staying down south if I can help it.

Been difficult adjusting to sleeping while moving. But we're getting there. He's better at it than I.

Will check in again. Currently near Knoxville.

Get a foam mattress and put it under current mattress. I heard that from team UPS drivers. I used to shut down for four hours a day and truck would sit while we both slept. After day three it makes a big difference.

What mileage on the truck are you at right now? What were major breakdowns and roughly how much have you spent on the truck maintenance

    Oldironfan Thanks this.

Glad to hear that you are doing good with your team mate, I just to do it, just last time I tried could not sleep that well because the roads conditions have been deteriorating in the last years a lot, and every time we crossed a bridge, truck did jump and wake me up. Past after three days of no sleep could I sleep something but that's not the way to go.
I will like to invite you and your team mate for a nice meal somewhere in the country and have a nice chat, I am currently (Tuesday evening) in Sherman, north Texas on my way to Iowa, will be returning to Duncan, Ok on Friday and will try to go up to Denver on the weekend to see there a trailer I want to buy by next week.

Good to hear you’re still at it. Well done. I’ve been thinking about going owner/operator myself.

Has it crossed anybody's mind on here that he's
    Running team to keep afloat.
To keep up with that truck payment.
He's not teaming because he's bored and
    Needs someone to talk too.

He's doing what he's got to do.
So the tag alongs following this thread
Dreaming of buying a truck should realize
That they might have to do the samething.

And he's not the only one on this forum
    That realized that same thing.
You might have to give up your freedom
And living space inside that truck to
    pull this off.
