I've seen a handful of acquaintances pass this way of the past few decades and I've always had it in the back of my head that I do NOT want to go that way.
I got really ill on the west coast last October and didn't know what was wrong.
Chills.. back hurt.. nausea.. couldn't urinate even though I needed to... just hurt BAD... B A D.

Thought about going to a truck stop and taking a break, just laying down for awhile.. then I thought, NO WAY.. that's not gonna be me.
I pulled into the Pilot in Olympia and called 911.
They sent the FD and they recommended transport.
Ended up being my first ever bought of Kidney stones, but I didn't know it was like peeing a razor blade as big as a bowling ball.

Cost me $3,500 for 3 hours in the ER including a $1200 five mile ambulance ride.

    Better safe than sorry

Once you live thru the first one(s),you ALWAYS know when another one is on the move.........I endured one while operating a semi ONCE. Worst experience I have ever endured. Once I got off the sugar/carbs and started properly hydrating,my kidneys have never operated better!!

I've had a few minor ones since.
I know what they are now.
I cut sugar out. Bread and grains out.
    Processed foods out..
Water only, about 6-8 bottles a day.
    Really helps.

    NavigatorWife Thanks this.
