I was expecting UPS to pay better than this. I'm P&D with one of the major LTL and making more than their 36 months rate in less than a year.
What a joke.
It will be good for a new driver starting out and work their way up, but someone with experience will have to take a big pay cut for the first 4 years. Now I know why they always run adds on Indeed. -
I have an interview Monday with UPS FREIGHT in Dallas does any one know if that’s a busy terminal? Is starting pay under the new contract?
-
Let us know what the starting pay is
-
Don't know if it's a busy terminal or not...but you will be starting under the current contract pay. There is no new contract yet. They did reach a tentative agreement...but contract negotiations have been extended indefinitely. So there will be no new contract in August. I got no idea why Hoffa and Teamster's voted yes on an authorization to strike if they weren't gonna use it. Instead...they extended contract negotiations beyond the July 31 deadline. Who knows when a National Master Agreement will be finalized...or if the members will even vote Yes on the contract. The majority of the UPS'ers I know are voting No. It MAY be a long contract negotiations.
