So my husband is supposed to be home on the 13th. His dispatcher if you can call her that has known for over a week. She now told my husband that she has nothing going West only East... What would you do? If he quits before he gets home there is a good chance we will never see any money...
Refusing to bring home, answers?

Well it is the 8th. How far east can he go and still get home? 5 days is a long time.
-
Then he needs to quit now. His situation will never get better if he's working for such a crappy company that he has to worry about getting paid for work done.RustyChops41, Dna Mach, mitmaks and 14 others Thank this.

Hard to to say what you should do. To me, a lot depends on who the carrier in question is, and all the other details leading up to this point. If we're talking about a large carrier who frequents the PHX area daily (such as Swift and Knight and many other mega carriers), then there should be no issues getting you home with ample notice. But if you're at a carrier who is strong in the east but weak in the west, then this can probably be expected to be a regular occurrence.
Where is he this weekend and where is his next drop or pickup?Suspect Zero Thanks this. -
He's currently just outside of New York. And, it's not that long to drive 37 hours. Approx. 3 days but that doesn't include any load and unload time and the way she schedules that will double his time.

No kidding. He plans to, once he gets the truck parked back here.

She's being a ##### because she wants to and they only have 5 trucks but again, she's doing it on purpose. She has known for over a week that he needed to head home. He doesn't have a next pickup or delivery. He is currently in New York. She is mad because she scheduled him to drop off a three-hour drive pickup in 4 hours and he picked it up but they took 6 hours to load and then told him that he couldn't deliver until the following day. She is acting like it's his fault that she can't schedule.Call_Me_The_Breeze Thanks this.

How far east is she trying to send him??? Not much past New York but fish and water.magoo68, kylefitzy, austinmike and 4 others Thank this.

She isn't trying to do anything. She's just trying to not get him home. She's a spoiled girl that complains to him how hard she works and right now she's doing this because she can.
