That’s why we have Chinatown for the less than perfect .. but he has a good point you need to take more personal responsibility for your actions to prevent getting to the point of being unhireable

If there was no tow truck, nobody had injuries, the next test would be amount of damage, at which point indicate you to believe it was minor, but you dont know the cost of repair.

And yes you can resign, now.

What company do you drive for? Maybe Western Express.

I did not read all posts so forgive me if this has already been said.

DAC is not the end all means. People worry too much about it.

I am a very small company. Therefore, I have to insure everyone who drives for me. Insurance rates are based on "loss runs", which means that someone who has an accident cost the next company more than someone free of problems. The amount of damage you do is a big deal. If you do something small, settle out of court with the driver.

Also keep in mind I suspect and have a theory that driving school training these days do not really talk about the impacts of DAC, Psp, Insurance, CSA and god only knows what else. Oh yea specially made personality mental health testing carefully configured in multipule choice with various questions to determine your match with the core company's TRUE inner matrix which is a state secret sort of. Not for drivers to know the results.

I think somewhere there was talk about lives saved. Certainly. Also thinking of the few that were not saved because you don't have the time to stop them from bleeding out, burning to death or god only knows what else. I am a little bit damaged that way but Ive found peace with God on this one. When it's time for someone to go, who am I to pull on one shoulder when HE is taking that person off this life.

My one hope and first lesson in trucking school. Do not hit a human whatever you do.

Second lesson, protect your steers and thus your load always.

These two lessons were delivered with passion, explosive emotion and a strong impact among us 24 in that classroom after we all settled in on day one. BOOM. Two first lessons. delivered in such a way we never forget. This for me was I think late 80's A long time ago. Because of the intensity of that moment I remember it well. Not even 10 minutes into the day one of trucking school as that old 59 white coughed blue smoke warming up with it's 17 footer outside for us.

    NavigatorWife Thanks this.
