Anyone ever lose weight while being OTR?

    Yeah fruit is awesome because it actually has fiber in it they didn't just take the fruit sugar and throw away the rest

    Don't take everything so literally.
    Fruit has sugar in it naturally.
    We get it that way.
    We're not designed to buy the 10lb sack at the grocery store and spoon it onto everything that we eat in granular form.
    Massive amounts when you add it all up.

    Eat as much as you can, then more. All the time pull open deck with lots of tarping. You will struggle to keep enough weight.

    Y'all are mispronouncing it.

    It's sugarS. Not sugar.

    Sugars are the building blocks of carbohydrates. Another common term for carbohydrates is fiber. All plant based fibers are made of hundreds of different sugarS.

    The problem with sugar (the singular as used in our common understanding) is that it is 50% glucose and 50% fructose. The average American now consumes about 180 lbs of sugar each year. Pour 8 ounces of sugar in a bowl and visualize that as your daily intake.

    We all need fiber (carbohydrates). If you read and learn a bit about what you need to eat to develop a healthy microbiome, you quickly learn that eating plenty of uncooked fruits and vegetables provides long chain fibers which are essential for the species of bacteria that break those down. If you DON'T feed them, they die off, and they are the ones that keep your colon healthy.

    If you eat way too much fructose, you radically increase the population of bacteria that will do plenty of harm. You normally would get about 10 lbs of fructose in a diet largely plant based.

    I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that you listen to Joe Rogan experience. The episode a few months back with the dr who studies sleep was reeaaalllyyy good.

    Not true,train your body/brain to run on fat and no carbohydrates are needed...........plenty of people operating on a zero carb diet that have been doing so for years.

    I do listen to Joe Rogan and others from time to time and I did hear the studies from that doctor about sleep it kind of freaked me out a little bit but I quit working double shifts and nights a while back and have just stuck to trying to get a good night sleep every night instead of burning the midnight oil all the time it really helped me regain my health and a lot of aches and pains went away as well as my boobs.

    And he is right when he says we all need carbohydrates.... If you consider to get all your carbohydrates from vegetables you be cool but you could live on meat and fat alone like that doctor I think it's Shawn Baker who's been eating nothing but red meat and eggs for over a year and he's fine no scurvy and he lifts weights.Cholesterol not an issue
