So tell me if I understand this correctly. If I run out of my 11 or 14 at a shipper or receiver I can go to PC and drive to a truck stop or rest area?
Have you used the new conveyance rule?

Yes you can. And you are not using your 11, you are using personal time off your 10. This is how they are getting around you driving over your entitled hours. Make sure you carrier is good with it.Truckermania, Justrucking2, BoostedTeg and 1 other person Thank this.

Yes, as long as your company allows PC in these circumstances.Justrucking2 and BoostedTeg Thank this.

Just found out my carrier will not allow it. They said we cannot insure you to drive on your personal time. Interesting, but disappointing.

Well, at least we know the roads will be somewhat safer now.

Well guys, the bs has started.
I have a phone meeting with a carrier out of Texas tomorrow to find out why is a dispatcher is telling my drivers to use pc to get from the shipper to the truckstop and start the reset clock at the shipper so he has a fresh clock at 4 instead of 6.
I told my drivers to tell anyone telling them to use pc loaded tell them to .... well I can't post the words here but you all know what i said.BoostedTeg and Justrucking2 Thank this. -
Yep, it has begun.

Yes but only if you could prove that you couldn't safely stay at shipper/receivers location. Also that their wasn't any safe haven closer than where you went.BoostedTeg Thanks this.

Why not just go to sleeper until loaded, than if your told to leave, you can go to PC. That will still keep your time off duty. This is good if you ran out of time on your 14, or 11.

I do use it but exactly as intended. I’ve been tempted to use it for short drives to pickups and delieries so I wouldn’t have to start my 14-hour, but not only is it not worth the potential penalty, but my company does monitor for PC abuse as well so I strictly use it as intended.
I should note that PC is only used when bobtailing.
