Make sure you add doubles/triples, tanker, and hazmat endorsements to your license. you will have many more options available to you when the time comes to apply for driving positions

 

Yes, get those endorsements and probably get a premium job with Old Dominion Freight Lines. This company hires new cdl grads. Ask if they hire from the school you plan to attend.
For OTR or regional, Abilene Motor Express in Richmond hires new cdl grads for that.

A felony doesn't disqualify you from getting a hazmat endorsement. A few may disqualify you, but most don't.
Abilene will probably hire you and also Central Transport will probably hire you.
Abilene has the reputation as a decent company for drivers.

 

Here's some companies that hire felons. WIOA will require you get some pre-hire letters before your application is approved. Apply to as many of these as you want and tell them you need pre-hire letters.
