I like that. I think I'm going to run with this kind of set up. Now I have an excuse to buy a new radio lol. Wow they've really updated the look of the radios from the old style silver dials!
I had been thinking it might be a pita to key up on the mic every time I want to talk on a phone call, but I don't really like talking on the phone that much anyway. Here's a question, though - if you're on a phone call but want to say something on the radio, how does that work? Can you switch between pretty easy or ?
I'll keep that Jabra in mind, too, thanks for posting it.

You push the enter button... puts the call on hold and you can use the cb. You can also play music or movies through the speaker. It’s one touch to make calls. I usually only call the wife on my phone, so I set it up as last call. Push the Bluetooth button on the mic for three seconds, calls for you.
Is the build quality the same as old cobras? No. My last one went on 4 years until a short in the truck fried it. I like this one. Very customizable for colours and settings. Oh, the cb will speak the number that’s calling you as well. It syncs with your phone.
Was 99.99 at Stamart.chacha Thanks this. -
Thanks, upnorthwpg, that sounds good. Better than messing with putting crap on my head or behind my ear.
upnorthwpg Thanks this. -
Hmm, never had a headunit mic that's worth a ####, people complain about how load road/cab noise is with them, did you grab a better sound cancelling Mike for it?

Almost a decade ago, we were pulling wind blades out of Houston to WilliamsAZ. We had the Harris County motorcycle cops escorting us. These guys were on Harley's with open faced helmets, but we could hear them on the CB crystal clear. At that time, I'd never seen a Bluetooth communicator that worked that well. I talked to Sgt Wiley about it and he sent me to Revzilla.
Recently picked up a Sena 30k. Plays music, GPS, voice activated rider2rider intercoms, noise cancellation...etc. Crystal clear. Sure, it cost twice as much as anything from blue parrot and blue tiger and blue whatever, but I haven't seen any Bluetooth headset sold in a truckstop that works half as well. Is there anything for truckers that works as well as the stuff for bikers?chacha and skallagrime Thank this. -
The headset is coolest thing since sliced bread. The newest fad. Heck I see/ here guys using then when they take dump in the bathroom. Everyone has to get one. You can even tell when someone is talking on one when following them cause they can't drive and carry on a conversation at the same time. Bunch of idiots that want to be like everyone else kinda thing. They think its all star trek like.
Maybe you can tell I don't have any use for them.
I don't talk on the phone when I drive unless its really important and then it's very short and to the point. -
###### good idea, I'll look into that, it drives me nuts to buy equipment that underpreforms at a 100-150$ price tag, if something is actually worth the 300$, I'd buy it in a heartbeat
-
I hear ya, hand. Some guy grunting on the throne, talking really loud and his voice reverberating off the walls. Was that phone call THAT important that you can't grunt without an audience?
-
Well, it fits inside the helmets, boom Mike...etc. it's just way clearer and work better than anything they sell for truckers.

It was all installed at the factory I believe. Truck was purchased right off the lot from Summit Truck Group in Amarillo.
