My last washington DC subway was a walk from the Capitol 4th event fireworks where half the place drained into the Smithsonian Station and the other half with me walked to Metro Center. To evac all those people they were running 12 unit trains 5 minutes apart. That took a while. Pack em in like sardines standing up, pulling in that third rail for power. I think 700 volt and thousands of amps.

For those unfamiliar with Metro Center, it's two levels where 4 lines of double tracked mains meet. Call it a 8 trains every 5 minutes in all directions to and from, each holding about a thousand souls. The elbow time from door of the completely filled station to yellow edge of platform was about a hour and half.

If they ever had to evac for a nuclear war, the whole city and everyone in it is toast as far as I am concerned.

Well he's sitting in a spot at a Petro. Probably happens to him 2 or 3 times a week.

That is one reason I am where I am.

It happens to be former Titan II Country among other things, in the recent years they tell of a silo near Searcy to the north roughly having had a bad fire consuming the missile and tossing essentially a 9 megaton warhead assembly out of the hole. (Apparently someone dropped a tool...)

If that thing had gone off, there essentially wont be anymore Arkansas. The blast and immediate 3rd and 2nd degrees would cover the state border to border.

I don't want bad things to happen, however DC has become to me living close to there very.. sinful and corrupt. It has a number of places I value within the area but should God allow a enemy to rain fire on that city, then what will be will be. America will continue on. MAYBE better off for it.

Many will twist my words and call me out for this thought. I just decided that Nations will go through losses given enough time and sometimes it is allowed and what will be will be.

What's really incredible was simulations online. Even the basic Russian Satan II which is around 500KT for one of 10 warheads each yield would break windows in both of my old homes 50+ miles and have the heat power to inflict second degree that far out including a radiation problem within 6 hours that will require people to be at least three feet underground for a month. (Which wont happen.)

A examination of the availible burn beds in the USA show that as of the mid 80's there were a total of around 16000 monitored burn beds east of the mississippi in total. Assuming a loss of around 5000 beds in the vicinity and about 850000 immediate burn cases there is no point.

And related to topic before I get in trouble... the entire Jessup distribution area including every plastic truck will simply cease to exist. Ergo, no food in a short time.

I went through the electrical blackout in the early 2000s. That would do it. No way to dispense fuel, no way to keep food, etc. I was in a hotel in Detroit. Couldn't even use the toilet. In a week we would be at each other's throats.
