Battery to ECM power harness. Mine had joining plugs halfway along that had a break in the wire that couldn't be seen from the outside.
Ok, I have a gremlin...truck is a 2003 W900L with a 6NZ Cat.

Battery to ECM power harness. Mine had a fault under the cab where there was a joining plug in the harness. Couldn't see anything from the outside to indicate the fault.
KittyKicker and jamespmack Thank this. -

I will definitely check that out. Thank you sir.

Update: The only thing I have found is some corrosion on the back of a harness that comes through the firewall, almost mid cab. Everything else looks fine. Now however, the truck will not start at all and sometimes it won't even crank. WTF?!?!?!?!

Maybe time to look at ignition switch. It was one of the things I changed out( because it was cheap!) on the way to fixing my fault.
-
It has a brand new one, which I put in thinking maybe it was the old one causing the problem.

Sorry I should have read the OP better.

No worries man, I wrote a book in the OP. Got kinda boring reading the whole thing. Lol.

Update: Ran new power wire and fuse direct from battery to the ecm. I had pulled the truck into the shop and it would not restart. I could not get it to flash codes because the ecm had no power. Once I did that, I got it to flash a code for temp sensor, and cam/crank sensors. So, I'm going to be replacing these and seeing where it goes...

Good luck mate! Keep us posted.
oodOxbow Thanks this.
