Flatbed trailers aren't very tall so there isn't as much to wash, what are you thinking? Slap, slap! :D

It's Gordon blue from Gordon Trucking now Heartland Express. They ran these trucks up to 300,000 to 350,000 miles then retired them. They all had APU's and thousands of them are still on the road. Gordon also owned a huge Freightliner dealership in the pacific northwest and it was later found out that they were selling these used units for roughly the same price they were paying for them new. I think they ranged in price used between $40k and $65k. Buying in huge volumes has its advantages. A few weeks before I left Gordon I was assigned a brand new truck. My first trip out it blew an oil seal in the front hub. A lot of the new ones had problems but back then Gordon had top notch service and fixed things quickly. Any Gordon drivers still with Heartland are driving the last remaining blue trucks. When they are finally retired it will be the stripped down white Internationals with no APU's.

What in the hell does flatbed trucks got to do with which line to get in. That is about the stupidest reason I've ever heard for picking one line or the other of anything we are faster. I tell them absolutely do not wash the trailer each and every time I'm there because I don't need anything under that tarp getting pressured washed by chance so it's way faster to get behind me in line

    NavigatorWife and Truckermania Thank this.
