To be fair, you have to expect them to forever heap praise on super singles. They are not ever going to admit their faults and weaknesses because they have to much invested in the product line and too many vested customers on the verge of abandoning the concept altogether.

The technology is just not quite there yet and it may never get there if they keep losing test subjects.

And putting super singles on an axle designed for duals [creating a dangerous narrow wheel base] is just proof nobody is convinced of their abilities

    Oldironfan and NavigatorWife Thank this.

Not on a super single. They have a infinicoil design that keeps the center from bulging out.

I just know that I saw 2 trucks with the same wear and our shop mechanic said they were under-inflated. Beyond that, I don't know anything other than I always kept my at about 100psi and never had that problem.

Well sort of. All radial tires use a steel belting system to try and keep the tread cap flat on the road surface, not really a new technology.

The super singles have the same belting plus the other coil that regular tires don’t.
