So im considering going with schneider for my first otr experience. Just recently got my cdl (on my own, no school involved). Im 25 ive been driving since i was 16 hauling grain, combines, tractors anything farm and logging related under a farm exemption with no cdl.
Ive been looking into Schneider for some otr experience then going to flatbed. But have some questions.
Whats the home time like with schneider?
Whats the average weekly take home being home on the weekends?
Have you overall liked schneider?
Are the FM'S ########?
How's the equipment and training program?
Considering schneider

They should be called ID for income dictators because they dictate your income. Overall Schneider isn’t a bad starter company. Get onboard and immediately start looking for better.
Also, if someone giving you advice mentions anything about DAC or “stay with them for a year” immediately disregard everything they’ve said. Don’t take advice from people living in fear. You can always find a better company no matter how long you’ve been with your first and any company worth a crap isn’t going to look at your DAC. -
Just looking at companies right now, thinking about schneider, tmc, maverick, and melton if i dont find someone local.
Have you drove for schneider? -
I did just under 3 months at Schneider 6 years ago. Pay was crap and mileage was fair. I will say they got me home when I wanted to be home. I’m working local and paid by the hour now.
