Not saying I believe this to be true, but what’s the problem?
A 5’11” man at 180lbs is classified as overweight, by BMI. Clearly there are individuals with much more muscle mass that would throw the BMI off, but such isn’t the case very often with drivers.
I didn’t realize until I travelled the rest of the world just how out of control most of North America's weight problems are. In most of western Europe and Asia, an overweight (let alone morbidly obese) person is quite a rare sight.
