There's a need for flatbed rentals to those just starting out. Most leasing companies won't deal with a new business or for just one trailer. I tried for months to find a rental in my area to no avail. If you chose to rent it out make sure the renter insures the trailer.
Good or bad idea to rent my trailer out? How much do I charge?

Hale wouldn't rent you a trailer?? Some of the trucks I see pulling Hale trailers that surprises me.4mer trucker, Ruthless and DSK333 Thank this.

That was the first place I tried. Blamed not being in business for 2 years being the reason.BigBob410 Thanks this.

Wow. I didn't know that. I knew alot of places had that rule for a Tractor... didn't know it was the same for a trailer.

I also tried Xtra and they wouldn't even consider me since I only wanted one trailer.BigBob410 Thanks this.

Seems crazy. As long as your all set up you'd think it wouldn't matter.

Xtra, star, locals won't touch me bc I'm not a corporation with 3 or more trucks...BigBob410 Thanks this.

That just sucks. We used to use Hale alot when I was at Coastal crane and D&R (which are one and the same now) usually decent equipment. Shame they won't work with y'all. It'd be nice if someone would start a trailer pool for guys in y'all's situation.4mer trucker Thanks this.

No problem here. Buying one is the better option for me anyway...their loss.BigBob410 Thanks this.
