McLane Foodservice out of Denver. I am topped out in pay. Meaning I’m at the highest pay grade. But the way things are going getting topped out shouldn’t take you long with how desperate they are. We have bid drivers working on their scheduled day off covering vacations.

Wished I lived closer. I'll be applying to the 2 DC's in the eastern part of NC. Rocky mount and BattleBoro. As well as Sysco.

How long have you been with McLane?

Were hiring at GFS although from what I understand were not exactly short. We have enough to cover, where the supervisors don't have to run routes now it gets a little thin with us drivers last week we had 3 guys off at one of our yards, and I had to blind route (4) days out of last week even though I'm at top pay scale and have an actual regular run, but I was helping out, but were holding our own alright.

I keep reading this thread to remind myself of why I got out of food service after 10 years.

    It's a young mans game.

Could a new guy hack at least $1500 a week gross there right now? 28 y/o and doesn't mind working as long as the pay is good.

I don’t know. With the amount they’ll work you it’s likely. But no guarantee on that. I think moving up the pay grades shouldn’t take long. If you already have your CDL and experience you’ll start out at a higher grade. So yes if you have some kind of driving experience. You’ll have to add the bonus too. They pay it out in 9 months your first year.

    Mike2633 Thanks this.
