I use one for my keys. That way, I can clip them to a belt loop if I want to. They are very handy little buggers.

There's also mini microwaves but they are 220 volt.
9L/0.3 Cu. ft. Capacity
500 Watts Power
I don't know enough about 220 volt usage. I gather you can't use it in a truck unless you get a converter. These are expensive in shipping though.

Walmart now has a small crock pot with a "rubber band" lid lock for ####ing while going down the road. I am going to get one soon. I have one of those mini dorm room fridges in my truck with a small microwave strapped to the top. I have a Century so I took out the bottom cabnet on the passenger side (which ever side is more to your liking) and set it down in the cut out of the padding on the floor and there's just enough room that I can squeeze my laptop in between that space above the microwave and the upper cabnet. Best thing I could have ever done for myself. If you organize right you would be amazed at how much stuff and what kind of thing's you can keep in a fridge of that size. I can keep up to 3 weeks worth of food in there but don't recommend going over 2. Save's a ton of money in the long run of the investment. My company doesn't mind as long as everything is put back the way it was when we turn our trucks in for new ones. The Cascadia you can't do this though because it's a one piece cabnet.
But here's my problem. Removing the cabnet and putting the fridge in bought me about an extra 1/2-1 inch of floor space but anyone have any idea's on excircise's that work in the truck? I normally would get out during the summer and use thing's like the landing gear support while I'm parked (not in a dock getting unloaded) as a kind of pull up/upside down push up bar but it's done gotten to cold for that plus walking circles around the truck. I have a 15lbs barbell in my truck and do the James Fonda curls on my arms. My CDL instructor last May asked me, "can you handle 15lbs?" PSSSSSHHHHH, like cake! Well he showed me that and by the time I finished my first rep. (10 full curls, 10 from the bottom to half way up, 10 from half way to shoulder and 10 more full) that #### thing felt like it was 200lbs. Took about a week and a half to recover becuase it was more than sore. It just flat out hurt! Had some difficulty driving the truck because my arms felt like jello smashed with a hammer. So, I'm good on the arm bit. Actually need to chill out. Getting a bit to muscular in the arms but putting on to much weight in the belly. I'm young yes, but I have some major back problems with constant pain most of the time so crunchs are out. Any other idea's? -
Hey you are great. I loved what you had to say about how easy it is to keep fit while driving. I totally agree. I use to travel in the corporate world but always had time to hit the gym or excercise room. I am looking into driving but a little concerned during the apprentice phase. My biggest concern is going through training and getting stuck with someone who does not excercise or eat proper. I currently run 5-6 miles 6 days a week plus light weight training with high reps. I do not want to lose my edge with a possible 5-6 weeks on the road with a donut muncher. What did you do when starting out with a truck trainer to maintain? Thanks.

The number one priority of every driver should be their physical health. December 1994 is when I started my New Years resolution to stop smoking and start exercising. Since that time I gained 40 pounds. I was exercisng but I was not putting enough into it. Visiting my doctor he recomended I loose some weight, that I should weigh 180. So I increased my mileage on the treadmill from 2 to 5 miles 4-6 days a week. I also started running. I went from 63 minutes in 5 miles down to 41 minutes 35 seconds. I have lost 25 pounds and hope I never ever find it. I have some exercise equipment in my bedroom, my car, and the truck I driver at work. I carry 2-10 pound weights, hand springs, stretch bands and a mini stepper. I also wear often 5 pound leg weights. If I'm delayed at a stop I can either go for a walk or do many different exercises right out side the truck. Exercise gives YOU the foundation to stand on to weather the storms of Life

Can you direct me to any resources or additional information about portion control? I have a terrible habit when I see these healthy home cooked meals I just stuff myself to oblivion.
Just how often and how much of a meal should you eat? -
Exercise is Resistance Training, Not Resistance to training. I get to do a daily run, so I pack in my small cooler some red seedless grapes, an apple, oranges sometimes, a banana, mini carrots, roasted turkey lunch meat, made up trail mix of unsalted roasted and raw sunflower nuts with raisins, some roasted unsalted peanuts. I also take a half frozen container with either water or juice and fill it with water. i take a long a number of exercise equipment, hand springs, mini stepper, stretch bands with an attachment that i can hook on the door to do exercises while I wait to get loaded. I also have 2-10 pound hand weights and 5 pound leg weights I wear often. Depending on where I am gooing I take one of my bikes with me. I also use a pedometer to keep track of my walking mileage. I work out in a local gym 4-6 days week, it's how I lost 25 pounds and hope I never ever find it. I once was over the hill, turned around and went back up. Those of us that exercise WILL NEVER be over the hill cause we are ALWAYS striving to get to the top. HAVE A GREAT HEALTHY ACTIVE DAY
