Once companies start to pay more they all will pay more, no one wants to be the last man standing with the leftovers. Same note no one wants to overpay either. Kinda just have to work with what “the man” give ya

Problem is, nobody stands up and tells 'the man' that they need to pay more to get them to come to work.

Fair enough. Most people are cowards. I’ve put myself out there before on behalf of my coworkers when it comes to discussions about increases of pay to management. I’ve in turn had to deal
personally with the considerable consequences for my words. In short the only real way to resist or prove a point is to quit and move on to somewhere better.

Unfortunately for me right now in my situation where Im at is what’s best for me for my short and long term goals.

congratulations on your truck and trailer I wish you nothing but the best in your ownership of small business

    windsmith Thanks this.

Get on with a union pipeline company like Price Gregory as a stringer driver. (Pipe trailer where the trailer tandems turn with the tractor)

In pa my dad was making 38.50 hr with 32 hours of ot a week. That's some cabbage right there.

Ohio doesn't get enough mention either. I ran cement to the rigs for almost 2 years. Small company contracted to schlumberger. I hit 2k a week a lot of the time

And their is a ton of pipeline work in Ohio also. As of now Ohio and pa have about 30 rigs each and wv like 20 or so all in a pretty small area. Its booming in the Utica. They get like 3 diff types of gasses

This really has me interested. I’m seriously considering it.
