You think your S Corp taxes will be that high with the new Trump deal? I believe your truck is paid for Do you have a separate company that you own that you can sell the truck to and make “lease “ payments to your other company? As you know all lease payments are 100% deductible. I have 38 grand left to pay on my 2016 and just set up the lease company I’m going to giggle at it. Almost zero in taxes.

She read his post wrong. She looked at his bottom line figure and didn't see that that was after he paid taxes and salary to himself.

 

The horns part is most God #### certain.
Why the super truckers have taken such an interest in the chronicles of the lowly door slammer is what perplexes me so.

Another thing is most certain. Pulling for big $ certainly isn't the key to happiness for them, cause they sure are a lot of miserable ####s.

 

It's amazing to me how snarky and reactionary some folks get on forums like this.

My numbers posting were not meant to disparage anyone (especially you) as much as to demonstrate and encourage others who might be reading and are considering the possibilities out there in our industry.

I despise these "predatory" (your word description) lease programs like J.B. Hunt, Prime, fill in blank _________ companies.

What's even more astounding to me are the gullible individuals who are suckered into signing these lease contracts without understanding what they're even signing. Then act like $0.75 a mile "bank" is a good deal when they've assumed all liability.

As I've said before, the CEO's of these lease operation companies must be pinching themselves with glee and disbelief that there are people who would actually agree to assume ALL contractual liability at a number far less than what it costs them to operate their own company trucks.

 

The definition of insanity....putting your finger back into the light socket expecting a different result.

 

What's insane is when someone is happy and continually trying to convince them they are doing everything wrong.

 

Can't help but be suspicious as boards like this are packed with shills....
