I'm driving one and they are nice, though a little heavy, but good fuel economy.

I am finally going out tomorrow. I am having to team, which is not what I preferred, but I guess I can do it till I am able to get a truck of my own. At least till I get some experience to move on to a different company.

I drove one at my current job. When my truck was in the shop, that is what I hooked up to. They were left overs from Stevens and we just put on a PTO, to use with our tankers. The truck inside was a disaster, but it ran smooth.. Was glade to get my own truck back as the sleepers with two tanks take away from the over all pounds I can get in the tanker, which in return takes away $$$$

What we as former drivers have to do is band togeather and find all former drivers who they have done wrong and take a whole complaint to Mary Peters in Washington and if not to our new President Obama, We are the ones who deliver this nation. Without TRUCKS this nation don't move. so i say and I will be one thats right at the front of the line . Michael

How did you get your DAC cleared after what they did to you ? I've been a driver for nearly 10 yr's and the last 6 months was with Swift and they got over on me, claimed I was late for a drug test and I wasn't, DM told the terminal manager a diffrent story than what him and i discussed, but they believed him. and my girlfriend had to quit, i've been without trucking now going on 2 yrs except local regular driving...thanks MIKE

Not sure if a new thread is needed for this, but..my husband (works for Swift) said that a message came over his Q-Comm this week that any students that recieved their CDL from Swift school in Memphis, (meaning those prior to the federal raid in Feb. 2008) would need to contact Swift offices as their CDL's were being terminated. I guess they'll have to go to a DOT testing office to get their CDL re-issued. The message said that those people would be recieving a letter in the mail within the next few days. My husb. attended the school there after that time, June, but took his CDL at the DOT office, not at the school. (They did away with that after the. Feb. investigation). Just an F.Y.I for ya! Plus..I appreciate the hard work you truckers do out there! Drive safe!

    tony282003 Thanks this.
