Well I thought it was a given, everyone knows trucks cost no money to operate as a company lease driver, or on a 1099 you're telling me the driver is responsible for all his taxes? Shocker

All of the negative posts are probably a van driver that has never tried anything else

And that’s a good average wage, but I’m just saying don’t be so negative when someone else specializes in something else and maybe makes 3 or 4 times what you make. It’s out there if you want to make the most of it. I’m not the op but I do believe that you can make well into the 150k-200k if you find the right place

For some reason I'm picturing a 100mph Volvo out of Orland Park,IL pulling a conestoga trailer.

How did you drive 4800 miles with all of those stops anyway? I'm not saying it's impossible out west with a fast truck and two nice long loads , but you had all of those stops and short runs yet you still averaged over 685 miles per day

    ***Public service announcement****

For those who can't comprehend the difference between GROSS & NET

Gross = all monies paid to the truck

Net = what you as a driver actually get to put into your bank account after all expenses, example fuel, insurance, maintenance, tires, oil changes, lease/truck payment, taxes, yes all you 1099 guys will have to pay these and any other expenses related to the truck.
