I look at them, because I pay 25% were I am, what I did not like was there trailer charge, I'd you have your own van, they would be a good fit, the only difference between were I am and then is 25% cut, I run power only most of the time,

I probably was with a scam company. Only $1 loaded and .80 empty. They had a bonus program $1.16 on all miles if you ran 2500. Well that meant for you to be over the road and I wasn't doing it.so I packed up and leased with Landstar.jsnell Thanks this.

Well tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of my own Authority. I’m going to keep this short. It’s been awesome. I really haven’t had any bad issues with brokers I have been able to get to the house as much as I wanted worked only 251 days for a grand total of 245,xxx to the truck after factoring my per mile was 2.43 all miles. Which is low to me. I need to drill those numbers a little round trip to my trailer lot is 40 miles. I know the last 6 month have been much better than that. But it is what it is. I am happy. Trailer is paid for and I got about 38k left on my truck. Hope your all doing well

Congratulation Dave. I'm driving for small company, I normally make no less than $2000 a week but alot drive ..some wk I don't even take 34 hour rest. But something's eluded me in trucking one of which lease a truck.. . I've been worried that let's say I have the money and I bought the truck it's going to take so many months maybe even years to get that money back and before any kind of profit .. throwing good money after bad. I concluded that leasing is less risky for beginners to lease a truck that way I'm not putting too much money into truck itself. But I notice a lot of company lease looks to me like a scam .. most company want $2500-$3500 month to lease their truck on the top of that they want you to take their own load won't allow op take any other load but whatever they give you as a driver, it looks like just driving for them on top of that op driver actually paying for their trucks..and their truck lease itself does not include insurance that doesn't include maintenance it doesn't include the fuel. just for the truck they want about $ 3500 a month.. I'm looking for something where I can do lease truck and take a load from anyone in anywhere I want to do.. so far it's been a struggle.Last edited: Jul 24, 2018

Personally, I would never lease a truck from the company you work for. If things go south, all those payments are out the window.
Express12$ Thanks this. -
.. this is exactly what worries me a lot on top of a monthly payment they want five to $6,000 payment down payment. Those down payment they can kick driver out the window by making up b******* stories and have driver out the window in a day or two and ll never get that money back.
ChicagoJohn Thanks this.
