To qualify for free training you must be within a year, but any vet qualifies for the salary option.

with the daily pay you need to be running to get paid? What about if you are sitting in a truck stop waiting for a load? could you end up making less under the new program than the straight salary?

HP drivers need to log 4 hours on-duty doing something to be paid for that day. Be creative. Wash and detail your truck. Get fuel. Do a super detailed inspection. Sweep your trailer. Pull the nails out of your flatbed deck. Change your fuel filter.

i understand that part but you can only do so much busy work to get 4 hours a day. What are the loads like now in the flatbed fleet? Do you stay busy?

I am scheduled for the Feb 9th orientation as well, and have chosen the Militay HP. I am coming out of Valdosta Ga, and will be running 48+ Canada.
I wanted flatbed, but their next orientation is not until March 6th,and I am afraid if I waited that long, the class may get cancelled due to the economy.

I don't get my CDL driving test until Tuesday 27-Jan, so obviously,I still have to pass it or the orientation is off.

I took my physical this morning,as ROEHL would not take the one I took back in November to enroll in Valdosta Tech for the CDL course.
I spoke to my recruiter after the physical, and was told that as soon as she recieved the fax from the clinic, everything would be done, with the exeption of me getiing my CDL's
