    Ok... So what happened??? Wallet fall out of your back pocket into the toilet as you stood up and the auto-flush took it, cdl, and last nights dinner all in one fell "kaawhoooosh"???

    Youd think those DOT Overlords would be able to just confirm you are licensed on a computer the same way local police do. A while back I was passed by "Federal Police" wth is a federal cop? We have cops for everything now.

    Have you ever suddenly lost every credential you have? including CDL, TWIC card, credit cards, all cash.. not pretty. It can all be replaced within 10 days. What happened? The entire wallet disappeared from a pocket sometime during a 34 hour reset at a big truck stop. Could not be found, even after frantic searching. It can happen to anyone if they aren’t 100% on it all the time. Lesson is don’t walk around with your CDL.

    It's never happened to me, but in case it does I keep a picture of it on my phone and a photo copy with my cab card until I get a replacement.

    As a canadian I've been pulled over in Michigan twice and not had 100 bucks US as a bond. They'll hold your license. Luckily l had a CAA bond card and he reluctantly took it. The other time l didn't have a CAA card. So no license for me until they recieved my payment. I whined about it to him and the magistrate. They told me to use my ticket l got from them and a piece of picture id to prove l had a license ! Lol.

    The DOT/police can run him through his SS# or drivers license# providing he also has something else like a credit card or something else with his name on it.

    Hopefully you'll get a new one soon. Would be awful to get stopped by DOT and not have your CDL on you. Yikes
