That's why they offer $19K. They don't care about the rest.
All the stuff you just said just re-enforces my belief that it is someone you know.dunchues Thanks this. -
Except I lived in my truck and I don't know anyone. That's why I think the security guard had something to do with it. I paid him to help me work on it from time to time. He knew all about it and he knew I was going to a motel with my grandkids for that weekend.Guerr0, Tug Toy and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
Well I'd say that's your number 1 suspect. You need proof though. You need to share that info with the police.
Like I said, it's not a no win. You just gotta dig out.jsnell Thanks this. -
With no proof cops not interested. I feel like I have been robbed twice. This sucks.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

Wow, what a great day. Checked my online banking and over 6000 is gone from checking. Went to the bank, that transaction is frozen but until Monday they can't find out how it was done. Might have to change all my accounts again.

Sorry about your misfortunes, can't stand a thief, rather take from a working man, then go out and earn their own.
Keep the head up,things always seem to workout in the end.Dave_in_AZ, jsnell and Hegemeister Thank this. -
Sooooooooooooooooooooo why have security if they let just anyone walk in and drive out with a truck? What’s the point of security then?
It’s been a while that truck is a sitting frame by now. People steal trucks for specific parts like the drivetrain or cab.jsnell Thanks this. -
ACV (Actual cash value): Search truckpaper, commercial truck trader, craigslist, facebook and all other means for same YEAR/MAKE/MODEL truck. Then narrow the field by comparing spec's like: engine, trans, rear, mileage, condition inside and outside, features/upgrades. What are the listing prices of these units? Negotiate your claim based on these findings. Remember though, the listing price is not what the unit will sell at, so have real expectations. The principle of insurance is to restore you back to a "preloss" condition. If the amount being offered plus your deductible can be proven to not be suitable to restore you back to whole, you can dispute the settlement. Many policies have a clause in them that say if you and the company cannot agree on the amount of your loss, you will accept going to an "appraisal". This means that you would share the cost of an independent appraisal from a 3rd party and both you and the company would accept the 3rd party's findings as final resolution. In other words, research, negotiate, and push, but know your limit. Too much push back may have you going to appraisal and spending $ just to get $.
