True, but in a thread where the OP is talking about linehaul work, I'd say the one that pays .72+ per mile and doesn't water down your earning potential with dock work would be the better choice.
Which LTL?

Isn't .72 per mile top pay? Plus it may vary on the location as well. It's nice that OD is giving you a day off the birthday. Dockwork for a new driver at FXF depends on what bid you will get. Then again it's not that hard and you're still getting driver pay. Shrug

Now I'm feeling impoverished at 67.4 cpm!

All LTL carriers are similar and operate much the same way, yet with differences; Whenever i see an ABF or southesteastern truck, for instance i have a hunch that they have things/perks/ways that i don't know about, and vice-versa.
i can say, right now, moral with us, for some reason, is not good; Managerks fighting with other, higher-up managerks. People quitting (i wonder why.......?) Workers conflicting with managerks etc. We're having difficulty hiring and retaining folks.
The way it should be, is everyone getting along (more or less) working as a TEAM. This is why companies like Old Dominion may eventually overtake us.
It would not surprise me.
i am not trying to steer anyone away from UPSF. It's still ok.speedyk Thanks this. -
They already have. OD is #3, and UPS Freight is #5. Joc.com has revenue rankings if you Google "top 25 ltl carriers."sdaniel Thanks this.

Wasn't expecting FXF to be #1. The amount of freight I see damaged by PT dockworkers is mind bogling
Bob Dobalina Thanks this. -
I don't know how the hiring would work at this terminal, but UPS is hiring a bunch of new people for their new hub down there. I know they sometimes hire tractor trailer drivers off the street, but it all depends on your area.

I applied before for feeder driver on ups website and got reply e-mail within a week from human resources employee. He said I need it 1 year experience.
LtlAnonymous Thanks this.
