Well at least it’s over and you didn’t abandon the truck, soon it will be behind you and hopefully you will find a better deal at your new company.
I ended up leaving my truck in CR, asked for forgiveness and not permission, it’s a shame they’ve gone down the route they have... -
Really wasnt a good idea to bring the wife out.
-
Really wasn't a good idea to trust my dispatchers.Lowlite, Bumper, ncmickey and 1 other person Thank this.
-
Darn skippy
-
Yep, that's messed up.
-
Heck my current company makes you sign a document stating you will return the truck to the yard or pay the expenses for its transport. What do they do in return? They agree to rent you a car so you can get home - with your spouse if needed as so many of our drivers do bring their partners.
It can be done, look at all the money Magnum has paid flying a certain driver around the country to recover trucks. It’s a shame really. -
Im not saying they couldnt do it, but since it isnt company policy, I understand why they wouldnt cover her end.
-
None of your business.
Should have left the told them to pound sand and drove it back to CR. -
Didnt say it was, Cujo. But if anyone is really going to sit here and be mad that youre turning in your truck and that the company wont cover traveling expenses for a spouse back to CR, you might need a lobotomy. Definitely wouldnt take a dispatchers word without having someone high up giving approval since there is no company policy. Dude just made a bad choice bringing her out, plain and simple. Not sure why youd expect the company to pay for it.
