I remember back in the 70's when Houston, Austin, and San Antonio got in trouble with the Feds for what the police used to refer to as "Greyhound Therapy". Some of those people were practically living on the buses and just going around in a triangle.

Metro did the same thing in DC. However that's small time. I hear that the NYC and Philly etc rules when it comes to motion therapy. I have also ridden both the Intercity rail and the London's underground, but not long enough to formulate a opionion what with the big hair and everything at that time period.

Actually I do have pity on them. I don't think anyone actually likes to beg.

Mmmmmmm, not so fast. There's a big difference in somebody crossing the divider or Swift falling off an over pass on you as your driving under and wallowing in self pity so as to wind up penniless in the driver's lounge.

Here is what some call luck.

    You decide.

I just did a 17 stop load all around and in Chi town.

    Finished 1 full day early.

The new starter I had put in 2 months ago, is going south.

Now I had it replaced before it died at a moment of opportunity, no down time.

But yet it still almost F me.

So, I found a Freightliner dealer in Springfield willing to deal with. Which is where I am right now. Just never shut the truck off all day.

It's 100% covered parts and labor.

So, instead of a kick back evening, here I are at a Freightliner getting truck fixed.
    Cats aren't happy.

But I will pick up my load tomorrow evening as scheduled.

Is all this luck, or responsible diligence to my profession??

What I love is when you see someone standing on a corner with a sign bemoaning their fate...they are disable vet, sick family, sick wife, dog died, self driving truck left them, you get the point.

Here's the kicker though...they then whip out the newest Iphone, or Samsung that costs several hundred dollars. Or their wearing designer clothes. If your so poor how do you afford the phone? The time? The fancy Nike's, an whatever stupid looking skinny pants your wearing? Freshly painted nails, hair done up all fancy...how do you afford it? But you can't work....Same thing applies to a lot of people though an not just pan handlers. I see people with fancy $900 dollar cell phones, a bunch of beer an other crap in their cart, an they pay with food stamps. If you can afford an Iphone 8 or whatever, you shouldn't be getting food stamps in my world.

Far as this thread.... How does one know his trainer wasn't nuts? Maybe he removed himself cause of the trainer. I get that "It's usually the trainees fault". It's not always though I'm sure. Can't tell me there are no bad trainers out there that would cause someone to get off the truck. I do agree though, it's all Dave's fault.

You won't catch me paying 5 bucks for a cup of coffee. One I hate coffee(unless it's got whiskey, or i have a horrible hangover(not had one of those in many years thankfully), an 2...it's just silly to me. I like my soda, but I'm not going to pay 5 bucks for it either. The root of people's finanical problems is usually a case of "Keeping up with the Jones's.". Your neighbor bought a big ### tv, now you have to also. Or a car, or whatever.

If I saw this I'd give him some $ to. I enjoy people with a sense of humor.

Personally I'm a fan of the "Ninja's killed my family. Need money for Kung ## lessons." one.
