I haven't been told that they are financing the other $400. Last that I was told, was to bring the money for the first day of class. I guess I should call them in the morning to verify. Thanks for the heads up! I would also like to know if the wait for the trainer was your call, or if they are just backed up.

Well I made it through the school there in Trenton. Graduated on the 12th of Dec and went through orientation. Now I'm just waiting until the 29th to leave with the trainer. To update anyone with there questions about the school, its great! The instructor was top notch and had alot of experience with driving and teaching. Everything was very easy to understand and the class had alot of seat time on the range and on the road. We only had a class of 3! There was suppost to be 8 total, but for some reason (not known to me) the other 5 didn't show up. The Trenton yard had 3 trucks to learn in, so it worked out great for us. As for the lodging.....well thats another story. Due to old classes acting like hoodlems in the hotels, Millis was stuck with the Howard Johnson for the time being. Not the greatest place I've stayed but it was a bed to lay in. They provided a company van for us to get back and forth in because the hotel was about 30 minutes from the yard. So far with my experience with Millis has been top notch! No one has sugar coated anything. Very honest and upfront with the drivers and students alike. Just as soon as we got to school, the instructor told us due to the holidays and drivers and trainers taking vacation time, we should go home for the holidays instead of trying to go right out. Although going straight out was my plan, it works better this way. Millis could of told me that "yeah we can get you out" but they didn't! Honesty right out the gate! Freight is slow right now......end of December first of January, freight is slow everywhere. No big suprise there. None of the experience drivers there seem to be worried about if they have the freight to run, because of the holiday slumps. So far so good in my book.

Just an update, I know its been awhile since I've posted last. I'm out with a trainer and running good. On adverage right now we turn in any where from 2200-3000 miles a week. Thats not the "norm" for the company guys right now. Freight is still slow most guys are runnin around 2300 a week right now. I tested for my CDL on monday and got it, so now i'm waiting to test out with Millis and get my truck, hopefully sometime this week. I've been with my trainer for 5 weeks now. All is good Millis is still upfront and honest with there drivers not just the prospective hires. So far so good. Best of luck with everyones desicions I feel that I made the right one here. So long and see ya down the road. Sketch.

Chris, i'm pretty sure that Millis turns their truck's over once they are 3 years old, so as a new guy, you won't get a new truck, but it also shouldn't be a piece of junk.
