    i never needed any help......

oh wait, there was this time, last winter, the snow was as high as an elephants eye, and i got me some help..

oh, then there was that last July 4th pic-a-nic, where i asked someone to go inside and get some more hot dogs...

    oh..oh wait a minute, wait a minute.......

nope, that was all my bro-in-law...my bad.

Always, always, ALWAYS have get home money if you’re working out of town. Bus tickets are cheap and walking to said bus station is free.

Would you walk to the bus station if it was 200 miles away?

200? No. 20 yeah. Most truck stops are in fairly populated areas, most likely there’s public transit.

Yeah, sometimes you’re strung out in the middle of nowhere and in a hard spot but I’d say it’s more rare than common.

I’ll change that. If I HAD to then yeah, I guess beating feet is what would happen.

I have this notion that of we were in a position like the trainee, we would be trying to get dollars and meals here and there, be it by begging or washing windows. It's easy for us to say what the trainee should have done since we aren't in his position.

    Sirscrapntruckalot and MBAngel Thank this.

Most truck stops are in fairly populated areas? That would be totally false.

It's always easy to come up with answers when you aren't actually in a situation. I've always been good in high pressured situations or during tragedy... until my daughter had her accident. Then, everything I've ever done and known to do went out the window.

Human nature, we come up with answers and judge situations. It is a natural reaction that takes a lot of training to correct.

I hope that trainee finds his way.

Is it? ‘Cause most I’ve been to were either in a town or within close proximity to one.
