I am the Bleeding Heart. I will give a lot of my resources to help those around me help themselves. However even we Bleeding Hearts have limits .

If the trainee doesn't want to climb into the upper bunk he can sleep on the catwalk .

What the bleeding hearts don't grasp is these people have a chance.

All they have to do is tow the line, and it's not that overwhelming, and a few years down the road they can be in a gig making excellent money.

    From 0 to hero.

See, they have a shot. No one cares how they got there. They made it. They have the chance. Then they piss it away.

The bleeders wanna hold them back because of there past.

    It's all attitude.

I would disagree on one point - the bleeding hearts only want to give the guy a chance. After that, warehouse the schmuck because that's the cheapest option for society.

No I'm willing to learn brother. You won't even acknowledge that people can get cheap phones. Who's preconceptions are wrong? You're trying to lump every poor person with the FEW poor people you have seen with an iPhone. Now that screams ignorance

I had a guy get on my truck with nothing but his CDL and a basket of laundry that hadn't been washed in about a year.
Already had lost his medical long form.

I have this whole story chronicled some place, or TTR does.

Cried the first time he sat in the seat.

Here's the twist, and I didn't know this until later.......he's a, I don't know hoe many greats, grandson, direct descendent of one of the signers of The Declaration of Independence.

I'll not say which one lol.

    He made it lol.

Now that's a whole different ball game. He's just uneducated as ever. Some people see trucking as a means to spend more money....he will probably lease a truck with chrome.

Ok, did you miss the fact I have lived in the trailer park and government housing as that was all I could afford? I did not say before it was a good 15 years of my life I lived below the poverty level .I have plenty of experience with the people that live that lifestyle. I have literally known thousands of people that live in poverty. From neighbors, to people met in "assistance" places, to volunteering at the churches for food drives.

And my whole experience says that while they CAN get cheap phones, they CHOOSE not to. That's the whole problem. They choose to live their lifestyle and not pull themselves up.

And that's simply one example. If it's not phones, then it's the 70" TV in their trailer. Or the latest gaming consoles Or the new, shiny rims on their leased car. There are 100's of examples with phones being just the one you are focusing on.
