Can't give you any insight on their schools. But research each one as a company. Reason being, after school you'll be stuck at the one you choose for a year. Pick wrong, and it could be the longest year of your life.

From what I've seen on this forum, U.S.E. seems to be the better of the two from a company perspective. I'm sure both have their own issues though.

Consider KLLM Transport. They will train you in Mississippi. www.kllmdrivingacademy.com plus KLLM owns FFE (Frozen Food Express) which has two terminals in Florida; Winterhaven & Miami. Both have cdl training and use the same school facilities. Both do hair follicle drug test, so need to be clean for previous 12 months.

Not a month as I posted.

 

I filled out an application yesterday. I heard back from them today for student driving. With training in Chicago heights. They cover the cost of everything including permits with no weekly deductions. This is looking to be a way better option than the other two I had available to me.

 

If you live near Chicago, you'll have a safe place to park the truck on home time, since FFE has a terminal there. Maybe FFE will hire you; it's a good place to get started.
