Never mind the bad officer. It's usually the POLICE CHIEF of small town ville USA standing on my fuel tank, beet red, lost coherent english, profanity and single syllable common basic driving school words such as "YOU. RED LIGHT. THAT SAY STOP RIGHT?"

You can expect everything to become a problem for the rest the day.

I keep a small book in those days with towns and states in them. Those I do not go into at all, period. It's best to leave Chief Grinch happy with his population of Gumps and a merry christmas without me helping out.

Interactions with Leo's are largely dictated on how you present yourself. Act like intercity scumbag doped up thug, and you are going to have a bad day when you start with the "##### Pig this, and ##### pi that".

I was otr a few years. Dealt with my share of LEOs, never had an issue with them. But I am not a prick either. Just be respectful, do what they ask even if it seems moronic, answer the questions and move on.

 

I like cops. And I never get hassled. Try to act like I do.

 

It's another thing when you're brown.

I had an aggressive tan one winter from living on a sailboat, some deputies in Missouri suddenly thought I was suspicious and wanted to steal everything I had.

Then I understood some things.

Normally, somewhat more pale, no problemo.

 

I prefer being pulled over in my truck over a normal vehicle for sure.

Commercial enforcement are professional IMO and generally deal with professional drivers.

Regular police are so bias from all of the pieces of scum filth scumbags they have to deal with every day that it is hard for them to be professional. I could not do it no way no how no matter how much you paid me!

Yesterday I was bored so I grab my 2 kids and 2 of their friends and drive to the nearest train station and jump on the train to downtown Cleveland. I was super stoked to show them where I used to work and public square and just everything.

As soon as we stepped off the train in to Tower City (The Terminal Tower) I could see nothing was the same and realized right away that Cleveland is a massive poophole. Homeless people wandering around the "mall" (3 stores left) and everything smelled. Fully armed and jacketed Police, Sheriffs, RTA, and mall coppers.

So I'm like yikes lets just get up to the first floor and out to public square and see the city. We walked out the front door to more of the same.

This fine young lady here was letting her kids litter right in the middle of the square right next to several Police. My kids and the other kids were looking at me like WTH!?

I said, hey.... you gonna let them do that? ....and she mumbled ,you can pick it up if you want followed with some mumbled cussin!

Nothing like my 20 years of living all around downtown and the near West side. Straight up 3rd world S hole and I want nothing to do with it ever again. I went to the West burbs 9 years ago and I can't believe what 9 years can do....

Nearly all of my police encounters have been positive. If you can act right, they do their job and move on.

The best was after getting pulled over near the I-69/240 interchange by Memphis TN PD at 0430 one morning. After waiting forever for the officer to approach, I walked back to see what was up. Turns out he was after the car behind me for following (me) too closely. Believe it or don't.

The worst was Corbin KY PD pulling me over to cuss me out because he was late for a donut and I got in his way. Just as he started to get wound up, he spotted my dashcam with the light on and suddenly needed to be somewhere else right now. Good thing I didn't tell him that camera did not record audio. PS: The new one does.

 

yep police are just human beings just like the rest of us we like being treated with dignity and respect do that and you'll get treated very differently.
