I'm a youngin' of 24 years that did trucking for a little under a year with CR England (Jan 2017-Dec 2017). I ran off a after I finished my contract obligation because CR England made me sorta hate trucking with them because of how bad the dispatch was operated, how I was forced to either team or train, and how many bad situations I've been put into because the darn truck can only go 62 with new tires and 61.5 once the tires are run down. Lets not even mention the horrible pay.

It's been 8 months and the last 3 months I've been thinking of trucking again. I love trucking itself I always found it to be more of a vacation with pay than an actual job. It's just the teaming and training aspect that bothers me since I'm more of a loner I can mingle with people for a short time but I need my own space.

While I was with CR England I have never hit another truck or wall or any of the sort. I have had team members that have, I've even had idiots that think they're professional at backing only to stupidly hit something after I warn them about being careful but I digress.

I have a clean criminal record if you check deep enough you'll probably find a parking ticket from 6 years ago. I'm not scared of a drug test or random drug tests I'm not a stoner, I may drink a little alcohol from time to time but I'm not an alcoholic I just come from an old school family that believes a tiny amount of alcohol is actually good for you.

Sadly I have an automatic restriction on my license I'm willing to retake my test to remove it once I'm more financially stable.

I would like to find a company that operates near New Jersey because I'm tired of taking that LOOONG 30+ hour bus ride. I would prefer to drive solo I would understand if I had to take a refresher for a week or two since I've been gone for sometime. And I would like to have more hometime than what all these megas are offering since I have to check on my grandmother every once in awhile. Any company suggestions would be very appreciated.

You could try NFI. They are based out of NJ. I don't know what their minimum requirements are, but the worst that can happen if you reach out to them to find out ,is them saying you don't qualify.

As long as you completed one full year of driving, you should be able to easily get on with a better company driving solo and with an automatic. If you drove less than a year it makes things a little more difficult, and some may want you to go back out with a trainer for a couple weeks.

There are a lot of tanker companies in NJ. You would make decent $$ and get home a lot. Schnieder Bulk, Superior, QC etc

The fact that they forced you to team sucks. The fact that they forced you to train with under a year of experience makes me laugh and reinforces my already ####### opinion of them.
