Paid vacation every 30k or recruiter bull?

Sounds about right to start. I run 90k miles annually and receive about $5k vacation pay annually not including my 10 paid stat holidays

 

My recruiter told me that they start you off at a certain speed but will bump that up after a month. Complete lie. I wasn't in a position to negotiate this time, but next time it will be different. Things will be in writing.

 

I believe that I do not believe!

 

Celadon driver here that's currently enjoying a 2 week paid vacation. It really does work they way they said. Every 30K you get a week added on.

 

Don’t quite believe this post: our trucks are governed by the shop: most have been 63... they are slowly programming them when they come in for service to 65... doesn’t have anything to do with who the driver is:::

 

It’s true! I’m going on my 3rd this year in September! Yay!

 

Thats what I was told. I assume you have to prove yourself. The shop can be instructed to set them at any speed.

 

In my neck of the woods 4% vacation pay is the law. That equates to two weeks wages. Longevity usually increases the amount, as mine is at 8% grossing

 

Ok.. but... again; it doesn’t have anything to do with the driver: not sure why the recruiter says this: it’s a company wide policy: based on the truck getting put in for reprogramming... not sure about policy for lessees
