The same as I did on paper. Loading, strapping, and tarping still takes about 2 hours total so not much is different.

Nothing different here, it would be considered On Duty as per FMCSA. Record your duty status same as you had been on paper.

Bean Jr. and spyder7723 Thank this.

If I have to be in the cab while loading I’m off duty, then once I start my work I’m on duty until it’s completed. If I’m allowed to assist the forklift I’m on duty the entire time.

I don’t tarp much, but when I do, it seems as if there’s always 5-10 people that want to help me. So I will usually log 30 minutes.

Ours gives us the option to put down "working and not driving" which i guess does go against your overall driving time.

    countryboitransport and cke Thank this.

I log it as long as it takes. I always seem to luck out and get the loads that take 20-30 minutes to get on the trailer and strap and 30-40 minutes to tarp.

Bean Jr., Oxbow, cke and 2 others Thank this.
