It's a pilot. The lay out there is a mess. There's no real lines to go off from. It's 1 of the worst layed truck stops I've seen.48Packard, mitrucker and Truckermania Thank this.

Sad thing is it used to be (maybe still is) a preferred fuel stop on certain fuel optimizer systems and get a bit of a backup to the fuel islands and it effectively shuts off any ability to access any part of the truck stop.Truckermania Thanks this.

Yeah Drums is a real flustering place.

Anyone mention the Pilot in Denham Srpings, LA yet?
The Pilot in Atoka, OK is a new stop and is fairly tight.Truckermania and 48Packard Thank this. -
Loves in Santa Nella, CA. Not far from a typical Loves.
Just remember hearing someone down the street at the TA on the CB radio... "If there is a hood parked at the Loves, I'm gonna come over there and give you a whoopin!".
Truckermania Thanks this. -
Not a big Loves fan but the screwed up ones in Tacoma and Santa Nella did used to be Flying Pilots.

Found another one and it is a doozy. Pilot, Ferndale, WA. Avoid at all costs. Tight fuel lanes. Half of the small lot is reserved for the Super 8 next door. Half the remaining spots are reserved and even the reserved spots are tight and you will be blocked in come time to leave. Just keep driving it is not worth even stopping to look at.
Bakerman Thanks this. -
Let's say that all truckstops became tight after everyone ditched the cabovers and short wheelbase tractors plus shorter trailers.
There is one in Casper WY that we recall well that was pretty tight. We managed to fit in that last spot though. Another would be Baltimore Plaza off 95. I can go on but that would be more of a design problem from the engineers drawling blue prints who think all trucks can turn this much of a circle.Truckermania Thanks this.
