Use chains all year, not just in fall or winter. Some loads I chain, others get straps, a few get both. No problem.
Short Fuse EOD, D.Tibbitt, stwik and 5 others Thank this. -
I don't even own a set.

It’s coming soon.austinmike and Oldironfan Thank this. -
Awe... My favorite time of year!... I actually like driving in the winter... As far as chains... I only chain on the westward bound side of my run, cause that means I'm heading toward home. Otherwise I just park and wait, rarely had to wait more than, a few hours for chain restrictions to be lifted.
stwik, austinmike, Tb0n3 and 1 other person Thank this. -
do companies usually provide it or we have to buy it
IluvCATS Thanks this. -
Company should supply it... Some states you are required to have chains in the vehicle between certain dates.

You’ll have them on the truck already. It’s your job to know what to do when you are on a pass and the sign says chains required.
