You can get around tolls if you have a good Truckers Road Atlas. It takes time to figure it out, but it can be done. I've done it and so have many other drivers.
Want to know if I 80 is,a good route for trucks. My company don't Want to pay tolls

Wow how much would tolls cost you?
Build it into the rate you need to operate.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Even for a company driver?

PA is not tolled. Jersey makes you pay to leave.(go figure) oh,in, and Chicago are tolled. 80 is as good as you're gonna get in that part of the world
Cattleman84, Pumpkin Oval Head and TravR1 Thank this. -
There’s hills on I80 through Wyo and Utah.
There’s always curves on every road.
Seriously....No tolls, no hills, no curves. Do they want you to drive anywhere?Last edited: Aug 15, 2018

I heard the tolls can be like $300 going to NJ or NY. Is that true?

Hills and curves etc (Series of ridges etc) will burn that value in fuel and waste your time crawling across the state.
Compare the fuel burn against the amount of tolls and time saved.
If they are such miserly penny pinching sad sacks, look for another employer. Preferably one who has transponders for electronic tolling remotely.
Ive paid so many tolls cash. part of cost of trucking. I remember once I used the Norfolk Tidewater ocean bridge crossing that is a cool 30 dollars cash paid. My company squealed. I told them shush, I paid it. There is nothing to get all wound about. Beats having to fight Richmond, DC, Annapolis US 50 bay bridge and working down god knows how far the other way around.
