One "Free" rest area shower in a rest plaza stop in Ohio featured blood on the floor near the drain. It was evident that a drug user had shot up inside that stall really quickly.
As far as I was concerned that entire stall is now a infectious pathogen that contains whatever that human contained inside himself with all sorts of illnesses, some lethal. How good is my immune system?
That's one stall that I left really seriously clean, hit it with a UV light black to find anything else unseen by the eye.
Don't believe me? buy yourself a black light. at least a foot. go into a hotel room. You might not want to stay there after it is revealed in a dark room with lights out.
Is this normal? Living in truck, no parking, no truck stops.

My husband carries the Purell Surface Disinfectant Spray everywhere and especially in all showers. He also sprays his shower shoes and bag off afterwards.
It's expensive compared to just bleach, but you can get it a multiple places.
PURELL Surface Sprayx1Heavy Thanks this. -
10% bleach and pinesol by volume. A dallop of bleach in a special marking tape labeled 10% will combine both bleach and alcohol etyl based cleaning.
Whatever anyone does do not combine bleach with ammonia products, you generate a particular gas that will probably try to kill you and everyone inside that space quickly.
Ten minutes surface sprayed lysol and waited finishes the job usually.gentleroger Thanks this. -
Yeah this is almost exactly what I'm thinking. To make this even more bizarre, Schneider recently closed their operating center in fontana, yet they told me that this is a really important assignment for them and that they don't want to lose the accounts they have out here. Also, when I was training in Pennsylvania, they actually denied someone employment because he had a CA driver license. I have no idea what this company is doing out here. I'd think there are a LOT of other companies better positioned to do CA than Schneider.
The salary is nowhere near enough to consider hotels or a separate apartment. I did not imagine I'd be in this situation when I researched this company, yet here I am.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Yeah there's a tradeoff for that...Schneider is big on Intermodal and the railyard is less than ten miles from this tank wash, as are almost all the customers. I also check my logs frequently, and one day I drove for nearly six hours for 88 miles. L.A. traffic right there.
I might try it though, almost had a meltdown the day before I came out here.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Trucker path app is a good resource

The pilot in Hesperia CA
Shows 300 parking spots and 11 showers in the details -
If you screen trucker path for parking specifically, you'll discover California really is a desert.
And talk about Hesperia may as well be like talking about barstow or phoenix. Not really suitable for local work.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
