they are going berserk on Sirius XM with the hiring ads. Thought they were one of the golden goose companies?

Look in our Walmart section. They seem to have a lot of unhappy drivers.

10 year Walmart driver, they changed our runs, days out and start times, we used to have 5 on 5 off 6-3, week on week off, day cab runs, local runs they changed this and now just gave some of this back, a new driver will work ever weekend, slip seat 2 or 3 time a week the good they will get about 21 vacation days the first year at average days pay. starting about 85k a year

    tucker and Coover Thank this.

Over the past year too much change too quickly. Corporate "hatchet man" pushed his ideals that helped destroy 2 previous companies he worked at through.

Being constantly told how expensive you are to the company, not wanting to listen to the drivers and our feedback during grass roots meetings that Sam valued.

Well this helped expedite the "Retirement" of many senior drivers, and those who didn't want to put up with all the new policies that we told them wouldn't work.

Lately they have pretty much admitted they messed up, and started trying to plug the massive leak with bubble gum. Kinda too little too late.

A quality reputation and image takes years of hard work to build up, but sadly can be tarnished or destroyed in a fraction of the time.

They found out by trying to save nickles, they wasted dollars, pushed out quality drivers, and now are basically begging, phoning those who left and asking them to come back.

Time will only tell what happens next. One good step would be to give the "Hatchet man" the axe

I can vouch for @Coover. I left over a year ago and have received calls and letters from the local DC I worked for asking me to return.

    Jwhis and Coover Thank this.

Some rumor word going around is Wally is not happy with Amazon. Seems Wally put the foot down and said you have a choice, haul for Wally or haul for Amazon, not both, pick one. Word is a few DC’s have been cleared of outside contractors.

It's a truckers gold mine at the moment.

It's pretty much every employee goldmine. There's more jobs then people.

Starting to see a lot more banners looking for truckers. Some dump trucks even have them on the back.

Companies can't find employees. So enjoy the moment cuz when the economy crashes again. And it will. The tables will be turned and we'll be begging for a job again. At lower wages.

    Just like before.

    Oxbow and jon69 Thank this.
