Fan is running continuously and leaking air. I hooked air to it with my garage air compressor and the fan clutch moved back and forth so the clutch isnt stuck, does anyone know if there is a seal inside there so I don't have to replace the whole clutch or hub? It is a kysor style clutch. 2007 International 9400i cummins isx cm870

You need a rebuild the fan uses air to disengage it is spring loaded when you leak air you don't have enough air psi to overuse the springs.i,m not a fan of the horton rebuild kits I have been using a company called kit masters and have had realy good look with theme they have a desighn that removes a lot of the factory parts that commonly go out.I have found it also worth the money to upgrade to a 2 speed fan it extends the life of the fan hub

They do sell a kit kysor fan hubs take air to release they are backwards from horton. I think they are a better hub. They have a clutch disc that can be changed on truck.your problem is just a oring.you will have to remove hub to replace.

    Bill43452 Thanks this.

So what about the bolt hole to use a stud? Does it really work and how long can I hold it in there to get it rebuilt?
