Sometimes you just have to let the other guy think his junk is bigger... because insurance, and dead people are icky.

I don't know where you run but it's not unheard of to have 2 miles between exits.

It's the idea that within 2 to 3 miles you can't get up to speed and merge without issue that I'm not quite understanding.

Of course if I were the other truck and you had your blinker on I likely would have eased up and got in behind you but I wasn't there and don't have the full picture.

I never said it took me 2 miles to move over. I said that as I was accelerating I put my left blinker on to start seeing what traffic would do to see what I needed to do to ease over out of this eventual off ramp lane. That's when O/O anal opening came along and cursed me out. Usually when I put my left blinker on a handful of 4 wheelers will pass me and someone will let me in. Instead a handful of 4 wheelers passed me, this guy was going to pass me (and I was going to let him) he got even with about my 5th wheel, slammed on the brakes then cursed me out. If he didn't have the ponies under the hood, he shouldn't have tried to get in front of me.

Why can't some of you just swallow your pride, your ego, and just let the other guy win?

who gives a F! let it go!

I'm constantly shaking my head at how some drivers behave today. It used to be 'treat the road like you're a kindergarden teacher and the little kids are the 4 wheelers and your job is to manage them, now its your fellow kindergarden teachers are the same as little kids and you have to tolerate Their childish erratic behavior'

Be safe out there. I hope for your sake you don't encounter the wrong individual. This is in regards to the OP. Not to those that posted previously to me.

I'm sorry that just makes way too much sense, there's no conflict, fighting, or confusion involved in that scenario. You sound like one of the patriarchy. Ha! Death to educated heterosexual white men!

In the best case scenario, no one else around. In the most probable scenario, lots of other people around, and exiting idiot forces you into a tight spot that crosses the line from 'inconvenience' to 'pushed onto the shoulder and now jerking into the right lane at 30 mph instead of 45, while idiot is barreling down the exit ramp at 60'. It's passed the point of driving defensively, you need to drive offensively (gently), to keep the pressure on moron before he gets a chance to tangle you up.
