Paper by the likes of international paper and krapstone would be near last on my wish list for a dedicated dry van account.
They will make you wear a hardhat.. Use safety glasses.. Weigh an inbound empty trailer.. Stupid stuff no one else does.. For "safety".. Then you will find the yard to be the most unsafe environment ever.. Also lots of mountain driving with heavy loads since most of the big paper mills originate in the northwest. -
It's almost always going to be heavier on the drives since it is front loaded. There is one spot in Coosa Pines, AL. I got 44000 out of there once going to New Jersey. They had loaded it almost to the very back....I think the tandems we're in the 11th hole...I won't even think about parking at certain truck stops if the tandems are that far. I hit it a steep hill in Virginia and I think the truck cursed me outrustyswife and SingingWolf Thank this.

Jesus Christ the cascadia is heavier than I thoughtSingingWolf Thanks this.

Hmmm, they have tanker training for experienced and inexperienced drivers in Houston and Pennsylvania.

I thought Schneider did away with the pre work screening? Unless that was van only? I am considering joining SNI on their national dedicated. It's not jet set but involves helping on different dedicated accounts and says up to 80k a year but they sure don't detail what it all means so most likely they'll stick me on some unwanted account right?

I also have a built in refrigerator and a tripack spy that runs both an AC and a heater. The cabinets also feel a little more sturdy than the '16 I was driving before this. All that being said, the hood feels a lot lighter when I flip it up.
I gotta say though, I think the weight is relatively close to my old truck when I think about it. -
The pre-work screen is only for accounts/jobs with physical labor involved. If you're doing work like tanker or dry van loading and unloading, you have to pass this test.
-
How much does the tripak and fridge add?
-
Well dot gives you 500 for the tripack. The built in fridge might weigh another 100 at most. The rest of my belongings might make another 75#
