Painful. But since it's as needed (Medicine) I can take some extras and make monday night a blow out to remember.
=)
Are there any truck driving schools that accept felons or sex offenders?

Hey @Chinatown, the quote you have was made by Will Durant not Plato. I believe he made that quote while commenting about Plato in his book “The Story of Philosophy”.Chinatown Thanks this.

You're right; I'll have to change that.TankerP Thanks this.

The reason doesn't matter. They have no place in our society. They are broken inside and can not be cured. there is no rehabilitation for these type. Locked up for life is more mercy than they show to their victims.Swiss Mountain Dog Thanks this.

Ohhhhhh, your offended....good nobody cares about your feeling anyway
. You don’t want to be looked down apon? Then be an upstanding member of society. “Don’t do the crime, if you can’t do the time”
Next you’ll be crying Trump called MS13 members animals.....lol wait that already happened, and they are! Go hijack a truck hauling tissues bubba, you gonna need them

Don't make the mistake of thinking that I am some touchy-feely cotton candy and lollipop unicorn breeder. I am not, Not in the least. I am definitely a "let the punishment fit the crime" type. But more than that, I am a common sense type with more than a passing insight into the criminal justice system.
I would much rather see someone who committed a one-time non violent felony catch a break and be able to integrate back into the mainstream with a clean record provided they kept their nose clean for their period of incarceration and their time on paper. Once they had completed a 2 year sentence (for example), and a year of parole, and were 100% clean, doing all they needed to do...then why not give them that one shot at a clean start with a judicial expungment?
I would rather see some kid who got caught with .000001 grams of weed over "personal consumption weight" that caught a "possession with intent to distribute" felony conviction get a second chance if they did their time and stayed clean, catch the same break.
Why? It frees up police, corrections, parole, and taxpayer resources to allow us to go after the real scumbags more aggressively.
I would rather have spent my career being able to be there to actually STOP a crime, or to PROTECT a victim before they became a victim, than having spent all the time I had to spend on penny ante crap that was an impediment to actually "serving and protecting".
My personal feeling is this: If you harm a child, there is no second chance. There is no forgiveness. There is no re-itegration into society. I have no moral problem with a simple .22lr to the medulla. Problem solved for less than a dime.
If someone were to harm MY child...I promise they would not live to see the inside of a jail cell. I would use every skill, every technique, every bit of training (Patrol, SWAT, Gangs-Narcotcs, and high Risk Warrants) over 30 years of LE to find them and make sure they were "no longer a problem about which society would have to worry".
THIS IS A POST PM FROM WHATSIZNAME OP EDIT...
And let me expand upon that to say that I would have been the LAST cop to arrest a man or woman who smoked the chomo chud who hurt/molested their child.
