I'm currently driving a bread truck for a linen service and am set to start with Roehl Refrigerated in November. I can't get a CDL until November because of some "activism" in 2015 that put a target on my back and got me a few tickets.

So until then, I wanted to ask some questions.

    1. What are the top 3 mistakes trainees make?
    2. What are the top 3 mistakes new drivers make when on their own?
    3. What's the deal with waiting at docks? Compared to my current job, waiting around for a few hours is a luxury. Does it hurt you on the 14-hour rule? Lead to other problems?

How it going? Let's see if I can answer your questions....

Question 1: Not paying attention, being in too much of a hurry, not listening to wisdom.

Question 2: Not paying attention, being in too much of a hurry, not listening to wisdom.

Question 3: Some days there are long delays at docks, other days it's in and out. I pull a dry van so and I am liable to pick up at any time. For me, I always thought it was better to spend the night at a customer so I can empty first thing. It's different pulling refrigerated because you guys and gals have to deliver in wee hrs more often than not. If it's a long delays in the dock, always utilize that time to rest
