Is it UPS parcel? Also the loacation makes a big difference how fast you will move up the board. Some locations are adding hundreds of drivers in a few years time meaning you could get a reasonable schedule sooner. Also some locations have what they call “classification”, meaning that package car drivers go to the bottom of the feeder board when they come to feeders. Other locations they bring their seniority with them and will cause you to stay on-call or on a terrible start time longer.

UPSF veteran here and I 100% suggest OD. It's good here for us guys with plenty of time but can be pretty rough for a few years for new hires.
LtlAnonymous, BigDog Trucker, REO6205 and 2 others Thank this. -
Thanks all gonna go OD.
TequilaSunrise Thanks this. -
I would say Old Dominion. You're not going to want to deal with the Union BS. If you're trying to retire in 20 years, you're gonna get a bid the year before you retire. UPS is great for new guys getting a foot in the door, but for seasoned drivers it's a dead end. Brilliant business model designed to hire cheap labor while dangling stability and security in front of them.

Last Friday we had top quality bagels brought in for breakfast. Same with this Friday. Last night I walked inyo the lounge after finishing up, 3x5ft subs was brought in for the drivers. These are extras on top of the already several good reasons why OD rocks.
Texas_hwy_287 and Coover Thank this. -
